Influenced by blues and rock of the ’60s and ’70s, Kamil writes songs and is a leader of a award-winning Warsaw-based rock band Atom Heart. He now lives in Parma, Italy where he composes mainly acoustic tunes inspired by giants like Bert or Jimmy Page, whose works introduced Kamil to Bert’s repertoire. Kamil was a session musician and ran a music studio, but nothing brings him more joy than taking his guitar and blanket to a beautiful lake, mountains or to the seaside.
Jolly Cricket
Kamil explains “I recorded a song that I composed inspired by Bert and the beautiful landscapes of northern Italy where I live. ‘Jolly Cricket’ is a story of a beery cricket who returns home through an oak forest smelling of thyme. Along the way he is encountered by various obstacles in the form of growing roots under his feet, undulating horizon or nagging elves whispering stories from nightmares. Will our Jolly Cricket get home safely?” Kamil adds “Being surrounded by beautiful nature makes my guitar play by itself.”
Kamil adds “Thank you again for the possibility of playing for Bert’s memory, it is a real honour and joy.”
